Lan Su Chinese Garden Escape

Mucho trabajo + Mucho Canzado = Take a vacation on the weekend and play!

In colloquial terms, "Sometimes you gotta' do what you gotta' do." With work and the busy 'daddy' schedule, I often become restless with the inability to have 'Armando' time and play. This weekend was great as I took a friend with me downtown Portland and enjoyed the weekend. We ate some yummy barbecue 'wings', walked around the Pioneer Square mall, traveled the mystical, peaceful surroundings of the Lan Su Chinese Gardens near the waterfront, and just chilled! Totally, needed this weekend to soak up the sun and reflect on some matters of great importance. Friendship and life.
(Interesting facts learned at the gardens: the hollow bamboo stick is a representation of humility; the flexibility of the bamboo as it's tossed and moved along with the weather is symbolic of resiliency).
